WHO WE ARE
Presentation
Mdinti is an economic interest group of the Medina of Tunis including actors with different activities and scales: craftsmen, restaurant owners, owners of guest houses, booksellers. We are above all the living forces of the Medina. Together we aspire to launch a new cultural and economic dynamic that will bring values and generate interest.
EIG Mdinti emerged following a partnership of the actors of the Medina of Tunis, beneficiaries of a project led by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and financed by the European Union (EU).
Our philosophy
To value and promote the creation of value with local roots in the Medina in order to preserve its unique and multifaceted identity.
Our objectives
Pool individual interests through synergies to create collective initiatives.
To act as a local economic force vis-à-vis the authorities of the Medina.
To support the preservation & enhancement of the tangible and intangible heritage in the Medina.
OUR CHARTER
To join GIE Mdinti, you must:
- Be installed in the Medina of Tunis
- Present an economic (or cultural) activity that respects and enhances the Medina of Tunis and its history
- Respect in the service or the proposed product a quality charter in conformity with the Mdinti label
- To work in the common dynamics of Mdinti to reinforce the image and the economic and cultural activity of the Medina of Tunis
